Generator is NORPA’s new work program. Our focus is on developing playful, site specific theatre that tells stories unique to our region.
We take a very physical approach to storytelling, and our performances use dance, acrobatics, live music, and visual effects to interact with audiences in a dynamic way. Our projects are brave and ambitious, and take our audiences to new places.

NORPA is one of Australia’s best regional theatre companies, and one of only a few that produce original local work. Based in Lismore, northern NSW, we bring live performance to more than 270,000 people. Not all attend our shows but we are working on it!
Generator projects that have made it to the stage, include Engine in 2010, Open House in 2011 and Railway Wonderland in 2012.
